I’m just an anime addict. Really, that what I usually spend my time doing.I enjoy genres such as romance and drama, mystery, and if handled well, psychological. However, I think the genre that really got me hooked on anime was action shounen.While anime may be most well known as a Japanese production, I do enjoy anime from other places. One series I definitely recommend is Shiguang Dailiren which is a Chinese time travel anime. Another is Kakushigoto which is a Japanese anime drama.I try to respect other anime fan’s opinions so please don’t kill me for my anime tastes lol.Currently trying to force my brother to watch different types of anime but failing, him wanting to play video games and watch One Piece instead.Always looking for anime recommendations.Please do check out my anime list on MAL website linked below!
Honestly, I kinda wonder why I put anime and manga in two separate categories. I mean, they’re pretty similar so… well moving on, anime and manga are entertainments that I am addicted to.If I am asked which I prefer more, I would reply that it really depends, as if the animation, the pacing, as well as the visuals are stunningly done, I would prefer anime, while if I wanted to read my own pace or the anime wasn’t well done, the story skimmed over with lacking eye-candy, I would prefer the manga.Sometimes, I really want a specific manga to get an anime adaptation, but know it’s probably never going to happen, so I cope and seethe by reading more manga, letting the loop repeat.Just glad some series such as “Oshi no Ko” and Frieren got adaptations because they’re my favorite series.One manga that I really want an anime adaptation for is Last Game, which is a sweet romance. Novels are… quite frankly not my favorite anymore. However I do read them occasionally.Some of my favorite series are the Percy Jackson franchise, Keeper of the Lost Cities, and the Lunar Chronicles. All these series are amazing, and I recommend you check them out.I don’t think I mentioned this anywhere before, but I love tearjerkers. The way the just pull on your emotions is simply spectacular.I also read quite a few light novels. One of my favorite comedic light novel is KonoSuba. While the anime adaptation focused more on the comedy aspect, I think the light novel focuses more on the character relations, making it a fantastic read.One more awesome read is Otonari no Tenshi, which is a cute rom com between next door neighbors.Just saying but I might not be really buying them, just illegally reading them from the internet…
